FORMAL COMPLAINT BEING IGNORED:
Van Nuys, California.
Today, Citizens For A Better America, is announcing that all the Government Agencies that CBA filed it’s FORMAL COMPLAINT with, against the Registrar of Voters for Santa Barbara County, California, Mr. Kenneth A. Pettit have ignored that Complaint. As
of today, they have not even acknowledged receiving it.
Last Friday, December 13, 1996 CBA announced a Formal Complaint against Mr. Pettit. CBA filed that complaint with the Santa Barbara County: Grand Jury, District Attorney, Board of Supervisors. It also filed that complaint with California’s: Secretary
of State, Attorney General, and Governor. CBA also filed that complaint with U.S. Attorney General’s office. The complaint was filed via Facsimile.
Citizens For A Better America has filed this Formal Complaint on behalf of the Citizens of Santa Barbara County, the State of California and the United States of America.
We taken this action with a heaviness of heart and not lightly.
We have on file a 14 page complaint from various voters, precinct and poll watchers from Santa Barbara County who have testified on paper that there have been serious irregularities and potential voter fraud during the November 5, 1996 election in
Santa Barbara under the direct administration of Registrar of Voters Mr. Kenneth A. Pettit.
Some of the most serious of those allegations are as follows:
1. Approximately half of the over 1,700 provisional ballots in the whole county came from three (3) precincts voting in one location at the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB). This was a disproportional amount of provisional ballots.
2. Students at those 3 precincts being allowed to vote even though they were not registered to vote and their Provisional Ballots were dropped in the voting box without them being placed in the pink envelope to distinguish them as being Provisional
Ballots.
