AN OPEN LETTER TO THE U.S. SENATE, SENT BY FAX:
FINAL WARNING! YOU AND YOUR STAFF WILL BE HELD OFFICIALLY AND PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE!!!
A few hours ago, your colleagues in the House of Representatives committed an act of treason. Websters Dictionary defines treason is “betrayal of one’s country to any enemy”. Who is the enemy? Apparently from today’s CSPAN debate our enemy is all
those in our midst who would have the U.S.A. become part of a One World Government.
It appears that you are about to follow in those footsteps of betrayal. I do not know who you are listening to, but it is not the American General Public that has just re-elected you, or thrown you out of office. It is virtually impossible to get
consensus on any issue in America. But on this issue, the American Public speaks with a nearly unanimous voice. Our research suggests that 80% of Americans who are aware of the World Trade Organization are against it and 99.9% of those who are truly
informed about it are against it. Now, Senator, you and I both know that you cannot win elections with 0.01% of the vote unless you cheat. So, the obvious conclusion is that when the American public learns who voted for GATT/WTO, exactly what it is, and
what it really does to their way of life, no amount of money that anyone can promise you, and no “sure thing” that you think you may have to win public office, will be of any value to you. When Americans discover that the direct cause of the final
destruction of the United States of America was your yes vote on GATT/WTO on December 1, 1994, nothing that you have been promised will be of further value. This day will be the new day; “the day that will live in infamy.”
You might be thinking, “Who’s going to know and how will they oppose me?” I know, and you know, that each time you vote as an elected official, you risk alienating some people. I have some very bad news for you. If you vote yes, you will be alienating
99.9% of the American general public. Well, here is where we come in. I founded Citizens For A Better America in October 1992, for the purpose of electing morality and values based individuals to public office. It is a national grassroots independent
political committee. Our people helped to elect some of those that won on November 8. I have not seen people get so angry about one issue as they have about this one.
If you vote for GATT/WTO your career will crash and burn; so will that of your staff because they helped you sell out America. The news media is intentionally keeping you in the dark as to how angry Americans are. If they didn’t, you wouldn’t even
think about voting for GATT/WTO. If you do vote for GATT/WTO, you will be remembered as the Benedict Arnold of 1994. All this for failing to wait for 6 months of real debate. Is it worth it? I don’t think so, but if you and your staff do, then you are
gravely mistaken!!
