An Open Letter To:

Candidates for the California Recall Election of October 07, 2003:

Dear Candidate:

I would like to thank you for taking your time, money and energy to have become a candidate for the Recall election of Governor Gray Davis.

Having been a candidate for congress from November 1988 to June 1992 I know the enormous amount of sacrifices that most candidates face attempting to seek public office. If you are a candidate for some of the reasons that I was, like attempting to improve your local community, city, county, state and country I appreciate your efforts and thank you personally as well as on behalf of the members of Citizens For A Better America (R) (CFABA.ORG) and our constituency the General Public.

During almost every election since I founded CFABA.ORG we have attempted to send out our CFABA.ORG Candidate Questionnaire (TM) and endorse candidates deserving of our endorsement.

During this recall election we have decided that Governor Gray Davis needed to be removed from his position as Governor of the state of California. As a result, we have decided that we will not attempt to make any endorsement of any of the candidates because the recall election must win. We did not want there to be any distraction or anything that would get in the way of that very sad, somber, and serious goal.

In our News Release announcing our recommendations for the October 07, 2003 election we will place a link to a survey that was conducted by several other organizations, American Renewal, the Family Research Council's legislative action arm, California Family Council, CWA (Concerned Women for America) Legislative Action Committee.

We are sending this letter to all candidates that provided the California Secretary of State their e-mail address. You can see that list by clicking on the following link:

There were about 26 out of the 135 candidates that did not provide e-mail addresses to their elections officials. I find it interesting that Mr. Cruz M. Bustamante and Arnold Schwarzenegger were among the 26.
